I
saw mountains, unscaleable rock
Rising from grave, snow on top –
Religious ways, set in cement.
Pillars of the establishment.
But what the Lord wanted to see
Was melting malleability.
His warmth waited to melt the snow
Allowing rivers of Truth to flow.
I said “Come Lord, and melt my heart:
Please do it now, please make a start.”
The rivers flowed, the mountains shrank
The valleys rose from the river’s bank –
‘Til the only thing that I could see
was flowers and grass in front of me.
A place to rest, a place to play
Where only God is heard each day –
Uncompromising Truth and Love
Flowing to earth from heaven above.

I
went to walk with Jesus.
He held
my hand in His –
We danced along in sunshine –
my
heart was filled with bliss.
We wandered through the meadows
stopped
to admire the view –
He said "I will open doors
impossible for you –
Though it
may seem very hard
going
My chosen Way –
I'll sprinkle you with stardust,
I'll
break unyielding clay."
