383     If Satan can cause you to be discouraged, he will, for then you may be persuaded to leave the area of service the Lord has prepared for you, in the place of His choosing.

 

384     How sad it is when people of God  moved by his Spirit to repentance, change and growth . . . stop moving with Him, as complacency and religious pride sets in and spiritual stagnation starts.(Jason Richards)

 

385     In 1805 some Indian Chiefs and warriors met at Buffalo Creek , New York, to hear the Christian message   from  Mr Cram of the Boston Missionary Society. Afterwards Red Jacket said “you have been preaching to the white people here . . . .we’ll see if your  preaching makes them honest and less disposed to treat Indians badly, then we will consider what you have said.”

 

386     Robert Murray McShane said “remember, you are God’s instrument. In great measure, according to the purity and perfection of the instrument will be the success. It is not a great talent God blesses so much as likeness to Jesus . . . if the workmen loses the edge  . . Christ’s work will be badly done.”

 

387     The devil is the godless, relentless, brutal, yet brilliant adversary of our souls.
