- “Faith” does not
believe God will do something
- but that He has already done it.
- Matt.5:13 – “you are the salt of
the earth” - salt makes people thirsty. When
folk are with me, do they become thirsty for Jesus Christ the Living
Water?
- With regard to prayer - delay is
not denial.
- Unholy trinity = Me, Myself, and I.
- Fear is faith in reverse gear.
- Anxiety is a vote of
‘no-confidence’ in the Lord Jesus Christ.
- When John the Baptist was murdered
Jesus didn’t think Satan was winning and give up – he declared War
knowing that He would be the Victor. He allowed it to be an incentive
to Heal, Restore, and do Kingdom Work.
- Am I willing to let something good
go from my life to make room for God?
- A chaffinch was climbing an old and
reed – the higher she got the lower the reed bent. As a Christian, the nearer I get to God, the lower
he sends me in humility.
- Have you turned to the Lord? Do you
constantly confirm that offer of your entire self to God.?
- You will never lead souls
heavenwards if you are not to climbing yourself.
- When a clay pot goes through a white
hot furnace it becomes porcelain.
- It is death to a prayer if we Don’t
Expect Anything To Happen.
- But it is health when we Humbly
Expect A Lot To Happen.
- Never be ashamed of the
Gospel. Even though you may
have to sometimes ‘swim in shark infested waters’ - never compromise.
- Our responsibility is to proclaim
Christ, it’s the Holy Spirit’s responsibility to convict our hearers
of Sin.
- We must resist the temptation to
take the credit for what God does through us.
- If we are not under God’s Authority
He withholds his Power.
- Power in prayer is the result of
always being at home to Him and listening to Him for His directions.
- It is in making Jesus known that we
have the Joy of the Lord.
- As long as the Enemy keeps us
prevaricating in good intentions he has immobilized us. ‘Doing’ is the
test of true love.
- Jesus said “go and do likewise” –
not “stay and believe likewise”.
- God only defends the defenceless,
not those seeking to do things in their own power for their own glory.

waiting to be fallen into – if it’s not shut by Jesus we will fall in

blues’ is ‘ Monday morning work’.

and say what the Lord tells me to – the results are His responsibility.

when you prayed for it – receive it – accept it – thank God for it.

‘belt and braces religion’.
- The proud being who says “I
will . . .” must face God’s humble Son who said
“Thy Will . . .”

- Do you want Jesus ONLY, or Jesus
plus – respect, popularity, success, public opinion or pride?

Mission field because you are a little better than others, or as the
cream of your church, or because of your medical degree, or for the
service you can render, or even for the souls you may see saved - you will fail. Remember, the Lord has only one purpose
ultimately for each one of us – to make us more like Jesus. He is most
interested in your relationship with Himself. Let Him take you and mold you as He

- When you really know God, you will
start acting on His Word.
- The Chinese word for ‘problem’ is
‘opportunity’.
- Failing to try is the greatest
failure you can experience.
- If you are going to make a
difference, you’ve got to be willing to work and wait.
- Get into God’s Presence. ‘mount up
on the wings as eagles’ ‘run and
not be weary’ ‘walk and not faint’ – so long as you are in motion you

God’s character, suggesting He’s more interested in His pets than His
children. Birds have to spend a lot of time searching for food, but it
is there to be found – we must be like them.
- We need to be as critical of
ourselves as we are of others, and as generous to others as to ourselves.(John

- The book of James in brief = ‘If
you believe like you should, why do you behave like you should not’.
- If it will matter at the end of
your life how you lived, why not live with that in mind today?

- We choose Death when we go against

- It’s not what we say we believe but

- Faith has to be based on what God

confound the ‘wise’. God takes the things Satan meant for evil and uses them for good – He uses
the bad things we’ve experienced to bring others to experience His
Love . . if we let Him.
- Worry is born out of doubting the
goodness of God.
- Satan mis-uses the power of God
gave him – some who are filled with Holy Spirit also misuse the Power
God gives.
- God plans the length and also the
depth of a test.
- Christians should not be isolated
from people, but insulated against sin.
- Christianity is about becoming New
– not being improved a bit!

- Our faith must not be
‘to win’ but ‘in Jesus to win’.
- My Calling is to be like a weather
vane – always moving in the wind of the Holy Spirit, pointing to Jesus.
- Faith is not just believing what
God says is true - true faith
is acting on what God says because it’s true.
- After General Jonathan Wainwright
was captured by the Japanese in World War II he became a broken, crushed,
starving man. A U.S general went to the camp to tell him the Japanese
had surrendered, he was free and in command. Wainwright, with the knowledge of Allied victory,
returned to his quarters and was confronted by guards who began to
mistreat him as before – but Wainwright said “No. I am in command here
- now, these are my
orders . . .” Have you been informed of the Victory of the Lord ? Then
asserts your rights as a Christian and don’t let the Enemy rule you
any more. Stand on the Resurrection ground!!
- Knowledge of Jesus, without
obedience to him, doesn’t raise us above the level of the Devil – it’s doing God’s Will, not knowing
his commands that brings His Blessing .
- God could have Healed me, but He
did a far greater miracle. He left me in a wheelchair and put a smile

- You can’t be saved from something
you don’t want to be saved from.
- The extent you grow in your
Christian life depends on how much of your old life you give up.
- Don’t expect there to be much wind
of Holy Spirit in the most comfortable, scenic places – move out where
the wind blows free . . . unhampered by what man has planted.
- It’s my experience that there are
two possible results of giving Jesus what he asks for – either He gives it back to me with a
bonus; or I don’t miss it at all (or if I do it’s only with relief).
- A piano goes out of tune just by
being played. Christians go
out of ‘tune’ just by living in the world – we need the Holy Spirit to
‘tune’ us.
- To have the Mind of Christ is to
know the Word of God and live in obedience to it.
- The Lord won’t send revival if we

- Those who think God owes them
something are not able to receive His Grace.
