have gathered over the years – unfortunately often without noting the authors.

- Joseph was sold and
in prison through no fault of his own - to be in the right place, at the right time, to meet the
right people . . .to save his family - 21 years later. God has you in
your present situation for a purpose.

saw mud, the other stars.

are no proof of being outside God’s Will.
- Heaven is too busy to listen to
half-hearted prayers, feeble desires,

fantasy, 7 – plain and simple, 8 – discernment, 9 – love of the Truth, 10 – beware of flattery, 11 – expect persecution.
- Christians are not expected to
model perfection but forgivness.
- Refuse to allow other people to
control your behaviour.
- Refused to bow to the opposition.
Satan wants to finish you off, God wants to take you through the
problem.
- Read everything in the Light of
Scripture. Beware the atmosphere of the classics. True, we ought to
know them but only as chemists handle poisons – to discover their
quality, not to infect the blood with (Robert Murray McShane)
- Be yourself – open and transparent.
- The door to the past must be locked
before the door to the future can be opened.
- We must worship God for who He is
not for what He does.
- If we are to have the character of
Jesus, it will be painful.
- Pain is inevitable – misery is optional.
- The deeper your relationship with
Jesus, the greater your Liberty.
- We must stir our hearts to focus on
God before we can move in His Spirit.
- That which comes from flesh will
bring only flesh – that which comes from Spirit will bring Glory to

- We can’t reflect God’s Glory if He
doesn’t have complete control of every area of our life.
- We need to see Jesus as our
Bridegroom, not only as the provider of our needs.
- There is a time to pray
and a time to just be with Jesus – they are not the same

- A prayer of repentance is not
enough – our thinking must change, our minds must be renewed (Rom.12)
- Our ultimate goal must be to please
God in everything.
- God’s goal is to make us ‘holy’ not
‘happy’.
- Sin is like an iceberg – six times
as much under the surface as is visible.
- Repentance is not
regret – it is a deep, inward desire to change.
- Sin = the ego in the place God reserved for Himself.
- Sin relegates God to irrelevance.
- God is perfect but he is not a
perfectionist.
- Sin = a declaration of independence
from God.
- Success is the ability to survive a

- There will be lots of distractions
in the sphere of work God has given you – be single-minded.
- If you can live
without Revival, you will.
- Don’t look for reasons why God
loves you – there aren’t any!
- Scripture is about who God is and
what he is doing. It is not a Yellow pages of theology.
- Temptations can come in the form of
a good offer.
- The Presence of God is either a pleasure
or a pressure.
- Submit to the Mighty Power of God –
do not bow to mountains of opposition.
- We will have to face all kinds of
storms to get to our Promised Land.
- GRACE = God’s Resources At Christ’s
Expense.
- Christians are expected to model forgiveness.
- Our resemblance to Jesus is what
counts and shows the extent of our relationship with Him.
- Sometimes your Promised Land can be
on the other side of the desert – a vast and real desert of
loneliness, grief, illness, exhaustion, uncertainty, depression, guilt etc. . . .you will only get
there with God.
- We must walk tomorrow in the
Strength of what God accomplished today.
- You can’t please everyone – even
God can’t!!
- Integrity is the basis of all
Ministry.
- Many problems come from an
inability, or unwillingness to stay still with God.
- God works in our lives as much as
we expect Him to.
- You can’t walk on water if you don’t
get out of the boat.
- Success = getting up once more
often than you fall down.
- Read what you want to be a
specialist in for one hour each day, one afternoon each week, one day
each month, one week each year.(John Stott)
- What do we need for revival? – God to open a door.
- Go through doors God opens –
wearing the carpet slippers of the Kingdom and offer honey not
vinegar.
- God has been using your troubles to
get you in the right place to go through the door He is opening for
You.
- Jesus is your identity and security
– get behind His Presence.
- We teach best what we most need to
learn.
- Be yourself – because no one else
is qualified.
- A missionary is not someone who crosses the sea, a
missionary is someone who sees the Cross.
- Anyone truly converted to Jesus
will strive for the conversion of others.
- Satan and may roar – but he is
toothless, and on a chain.
- God can work with amazing slowness
or at astonishing speed.
- Any attempt to short circuit God’s process
results in unprepared people trying to do the task.
- The smallest unit in the kingdom is
2 – not 1. (you and God)
- Pray that the Lord will show you
the door keeper of the doors he is opening – the person of peace.
- If we are not in love with Jesus,
everything we try to do for Him is useless.
- You become like who or what you
Worship.
- What kind of God allows suffering?
A broken hearted one!
- The past won’t be a guide to the
future.
- Don’t fight when you’re right.
- When temptation comes :- don’t be alarmed - expect
it; don’t be blind - detect
it; don’t be clever - reject
it.
- God is searching for those in the
Body of Christ who aren’t addicted to their own accomplishments.(Floyd

- Educate children without faith and

- Don’t be afraid to take a big step
if one is indicated. You can’t cross a chasm into small jumps.( Lloyd George)
- The Cross calls into question all forms

- If God is not ‘now here’ in your

a river . . . . It is well with my soul . . ” wrote it when sailing
over the place where the Titanic went down with his wife and four daughters!!
- Jesus can only shine through you as
you adhere to His Word.
