Colin Kangaroo	Sammy Squirrel	Noah

Colin Kangaroo one day-

thought he would go out to play.

Climbed from Mum's pouch to the ground.

then he gave a mighty bound .

His back legs are very strong –

so it didn't take him long –

To get to the river bank –

where our Colin stopped and drank.

Saw things he'd not seen before.

touched one with his small front paw.

Those legs were not legs at all!

Colin gave a frightened call.

What he'd thought logs, all had heads –

they were crocodiles instead.

Colin's mummy wasn't near –

so his shout she didn't hear.

There was just one thing to do –

he loves Jesus, just like you.

He said "Jesus, please help me –

crocodiles think I'm their tea."

Jesus showed Colin the way –

because he had faith to pray.

Jesus' mighty hand did keep –

crocodiles all asleep.

Colin jumped quickly away.

he won't go back there today.

"Thank You Jesus" Said Colin

"with Your help I'll always win"

Back with Mum, Colin did crouch –

safely tucked inside her pouch.

Little Sammy squirrel scampered right up a tree.

At that very great height much further he could see.

He saw all the treetops and the top of each hill.

Of all that clean, fresh air our Sammy drank his fill.

Sam saw enough acorns to fill his winter hoard.

As soon as he saw them small Sammy's spirit's soared.

He shouted thanks to God in that treetop so tall.

Dancing with happiness Sammy began to fall.

He banged against a branch then hit another one.

For poor Sammy squirrel this was not any fun.

He asked our Lord Jesus to save him from all harm.

Then, trusting all the time our Sammy stayed quite calm.

Later, in hospital our Sam squirrel woke up.

He'd been found unconscious by a little pup.

Sammy told the Doctors he told the nurses too –

You must trust in Jesus then He'll look after you.

The last I heard of Sam he'd got those acorns stored.

Singing praises all the time to Jesus who's Sam's Lord.

God said to Noah "Build and Ark

for soon torrential rains will start.

But do not build a little boat.

This massive one must keep afloat –

for many days and many nights.

I'II tell you how to build it right.

Remember measurements I’ll give.

In it your family must live -

With reptiles, animals, birds with wings –

and every other living thing.

The Ark must be built with three decks –

and not a thing must you forget.

The Ark must have a roof on too.

One that the rain will not go through.

There must be space for some fresh air -

between sides, and roof you put there-

To make it watertight, then pour -

asphalt on the outside and floor .

When that is done, then find a pair

of each living thing everywhere.

Then stack in food for all of them

so nothing will go hungry when –

The rain covers the whole earth -

to kill mankind who has no worth."

When the rain came it didn't stop –

'till it covered the mountain tops.

God looked around, and far and wide –

He saw everything had died.

God let the water drain away.

And then, one fine and sunny day –

Noah sent a dove to have a look.

To Noah, an olive branch it took.

And so, when the earth was quite dry

all in the Ark praised God on high.

For a Covenant He'd made.

"A rainbow will mean'" God had said –

"That I am making very plain

I'II never kill all things again."

Creation

One day when God sat up in Heaven

He thought that it would be -

Quite nice if somewhere out in space

some people He could see.

And so He caused a great big bang

that shook the Universe –

Which made the sun and moon and stars

and of course, planet Earth.

God said "I want Night separate

from all of the sun's rays.

So the part brightened by the sun

God thought He would call 'Day'.

God watched the night vanish away

when the sun shone on high.

Then thought the place where the sun was

had better be called 'Sky'.

God said "I have a feeling that

there's rather too much sea.

I think I'll push it over there

so some earth there will be

Then on the earth I'll put some plants.

I'll put birds in the air .

And in the sea I'll put some fish –

some plentiful, some rare.

I'll put some animals on earth –

then 1'll put people too.

To be My friends, and to love Me –

all of their short lives through.

How disobedient Man would be

perhaps He even guessed.

And then upon the seventh day

God decided He'd rest

God designed a lovely garden.

Adam lived there with Eve.

The only thing they must not do –

was eat fruit from God's tree.

The wicked Devil tempted Eve

and so she took a bite.

She told Adam to eat some too –

that it was quite alright.

They both ignored that God had said

that fruit they must not chew.

They didn't know He could see them

and could read their thoughts too.

God didn't listen when they said

"The Devil tempted me".

He threw them out of His garden

for disobediency.

Jimmy was a jackdaw.

A bird with 'taking' ways.

Didn't call it stealing –

thought it was fun, and pays . Everything that glittered –

Or shone took Jimmy's eye.

He'd take it in his beak –

And then away would fly.

He did it too often.

So someone set a trap.

Jimmy was caught in it.

He did get in a flap.

Remembered about God -

Rather late in the day.

Then, Jimmy was afraid -

God wouldn't hear him pray.

He need not have worried –

God always hears our prayer~

Although we cannot see Him –

We can be sure He's there.

Jesus died for sinners –

Folk like Jimmy Jackdaw.

Though He loves our Jimmy-

Jesus loves us much more.

So give your life to Him

Decide to go His Way.

Not just when in trouble –

But every single day.

Bobby is a Bunny,

his home is in a wood.

He has been well brought up –

so does the things he should.

He says his prayers each day.

he goes to Sunday School.

Rather like yourself -

he's quite good, as a rule.

But one day Bob forgot.

thought being bad was fun.

Didn’t heed Mum’s warning –

met farmer with a gun.

Poor Bobby was frightened.

he hadn’t meant to sin.

He whispered to Jesus -

knew our Lord would save him.

Farmer pulled the trigger –

the mechanism jammed.

So Bobby got a way.

Now, please understand -

That, if like our Bobby –

to Jesus you are true -

When you are in trouble –

He always will help you.

But don't forget to talk –

to Jesus every day.

Thanking Him for all things.

It's the only way.
